Graduates of the single-subject BA programme in Art History have a detailed knowledge of the development of European and Czech art. They also gain knowledge of the history of theoretical reflection on art and of the development of art history as a discipline, as well as basic orientation in the connections between art history and other humanities (aesthetics, general history, philosophy, religious studies etc.).

Besides this specialized knowledge, graduates will acquire the language skills necessary to study specialized literature and to study or work abroad. Moreover, they acquire basic skills necessary for work in surveying historical buildings, heritage protection, and in museums and galleries.
