Profiles

Graduates have a basic knowledge of the Chinese language (both modern and classical) and culture. They are qualified for independent work in fields that require skills in modern Chinese (including work with texts), as well as fields that require a good command of Chinese culture and history, mainly journalism, business and economy, various cultural institutions, state administration, tourism, interpreting, humanitarian organizations etc.

Graduates have a grounding in Chinese society and skills in transmitting knowledge of Western culture (using, among other things, an excellent command of a major language) and Chinese culture (having methodological skills to address broad topics in social sciences and the ability to participate in informed intercultural dialogue).
