Graduates of the bachelor’s programme in General Linguistics have a solid understanding of the main aspects of verbal communication. They understand the nature and breadth of the field, including both the main domains of linguistic analysis and their interdisciplinary aspects, and are equipped with basic skills required in present-day linguistic research.
Graduates have a basic knowledge of the Chinese language and culture and are prepared to continue their studies in a master’s programme in Sinology. They have a grounding in information sources about China and an ability to use these sources independently. They are qualified for careers in settings that require a knowledge of modern Chinese and Chinese history and culture.
