Graduate has a broad knowledge of geology and the necessary knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry. He/she has attended basic courses in the fields of hydrogeology and applied geophysics and specialized courses in the fields of engineering geology, soil and rock mechanics and structures foundation. He/she masters field exploration methods, laboratory analytical work and the basics of numerical modelling in soil mechanics.

His/her specific focus is mainly on exploratory and monitoring work for the safety of challenging structures (tunnels, dams, highway and railway bodies, underground reservoirs), assessment and remediation of slope stability. He/she is ready for further research work as well as for taking up positions of responsibility and practical activities in the sphere of state administration or in the private sphere.
