Graduates in Botany, speciality Mycology, have ample knowledge about diversity, evolution, and biology of fungi including lichens, algae, and non-vascular plants. They have been trained in biosystematics and ecology of organisms as well as in experimental field and laboratory techniques.

They can continue in doctoral studies towards a scientific career or find employment in basic and applied research. The graduates are experts particularly in the systematics, diversity, and ecology of fungi and related organisms in both natural and anthropogenic habitats.

They comprehend ecology of the species and their interactions with other groups of organisms. The graduates handle a wide spectrum of mycological determination and cultivation techniques for find employment in clinical, phytopathological, and biotechnological applications.
