Abstract
Objective of the publication is to use various data on the results of education at basic and secondary schools and attempt to identify factors that affect school education and that, when influenced, could improve its quality. Moreover, various ways of measuring and evaluating educational outcomes were compared.
Another objective was to compare educational outcomes at various types of basic and secondary schools and to identify the influence of various factors that could help enhance the quality of education at these schools. The publication provides interesting information for schools and for various levels of governance of education, as it shows how various conditions in which school operate can be improved with an impact on pupil performance.
