Abstract
Currently, plasmapheresis (plasma exchange - PE) is the most frequently applicated method among all other therapeutic hemapherese and the nephrologic and hematologic workplaces have necessary experience with it. We made analysis of our procedures made in the last 4 years as a contribution to the classification of some not very clear details.
PE is a therapeutic method which is safe in selected indications. PE is the most frequent therapeutic hemapheretic method and is well known in nephrologic and hemapheretic work places.
Currently, PE is successfully used in some immunologically caused acute and chronic neurologic disorders.
