Structure Analysis of Solid Materials at Chemistry Departments of Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague

Abstract

This contribution summarizes the history and development of X-ray diffraction analysis of solids in the above mentioned institution. Examples of recent applications of X-ray diffraction analysis as a tool for structure characterisation of intermediates in enantioselective metal-catalysed reactions and in studies of crystalline materials for nonlinear-optics applications are also presented.
