2AgePro: Models of Professional Knowledge Transfer Between Two Generations of Teachers - Junior and Senior Teachers. Current situation in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The article describes the EU Grundtvig Project “Generational Change in the Teaching Profession“ (2AgePro) aimed to design and test collaborative models how to support junior teachers at the beginning of their professional career and at the same time how to encourage senior teachers who has of many years experience and teaching practice to continue in their job and not to leave schools to transfer their know-how, to share professional knowledge with novice teachers. A new generation of novice teachers can offer to senior teachers new knowledge from the branches and experience with digital technologies.

The model of professional exchange among both generations of teachers based on reciprocal collaboration and partnership might be applied in schools and could yield profit and interesting outcomes to schools.
