Abstract
The names of parts of the human body belong to the basic vocabulary of the "current" ("natural") vocabulary. At the same time the human body is represented i.a. in the specialized medical terminology.
Making us of excerpting terms especially from traditional medical fields, the author presents an orientational overview of the basic thematic fields of medical terms that she has arrived at. The paper further analyses and illustrates a picture of the human body in medicine, primarily on the basis of the anatomical terminology as the core of medical terminology.
