Abstract
In her paper the author returns to her earlier research (Bozděchová, I: Tvoření slov skládáním. ISV nakladatelství Praha 1994) and on partially similar material (SSJČ) and in confrontation with more recent material (NSČ 1 and 2, contemporary medical terms) and in some other more recent work on composita in Czech, she illustrates composition as an important denominational method of word formation in contemporary Czech: alongside the traditional application in the specialized sphere the role of composition increases primarily in publicity (media) texts and in currently spoken texts.
