Abstract
The chapter on word formation on the Czech language textbook for the 9th year of primary school provides basic instruction on word-formation structure and on the orthographic features connected with that structure. In the teaching on the word it is concerned with the meaning of the word, examining single-meaning and multiple-meaning words, synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, words of foreign origin and specialized terms.
