Abstract
The articles in the volume, inspired by the work of Czech general linguist and bohemicist Prof. František Daneš, deal with the theory of Prague School; phonetics, phonology and morphology; lexicology and onomastics; syntax, semantics and pragmatics; Fuctional Sentence Perspective; sociolinguistics and the culture of language; the communication in media, school and church; the language of literature and translation; the relationship of speech and music.
