The article critically evaluates the exhibition of two contemporary artists of the older generation Karel Malich and Zdeněk Sýkora, which was prepared for the Kampa Muzeum by the curator Hans-Peter Riese. The exhibition concept has been based on the comparison of Sýkora´s linear structures and Malich´s wire-made sculptures.
The author of the article appreciates personal and morphological reasons of this project, though calling attention at the same time to the inconsequent chronology and more general reasons of familiarity of both artists´ attitudes, lying in assessing the artistic language of geometry.
