The Symbolism of Trees in Hindi Proverbs and Sayings

Abstract

Trees often occur in proverbs and sayings as metaphoric means to describe some human characteristics. This treatise analyses more then one hundred proverbs and sayings from Hindi colloquial language and from different dialects.
