Kohonen maps and their application in the analysis of traffic accidents

Abstract

The character of traffic accidents depends on several factors. The specification of these factors could limit significantly the number and extent of the accidents.

Kohonen maps and their variants with a dynamically adjusted topology were used to find the main types of traffic accidents in Ostrava.
