New guidance system in the libraries of Faculty of Science, Charles university in Prague : How to easily find a publication

Abstract
Library Free choice is a current trend in modern libraries which brings higher demands on library users in the sence of self orientation in free shelves collections of libraries. Touch screens with online guidance system represent an user-friendly interface which simplifies the user's posibility to find an exemplar of a publication in the library and offer more comfortable solution to the user.
Self-service system saves time and work of librarians (explanation, searching, bringing an exemplar from free shelves collection etc. ) so they can put the saved time and energy to their profesional work. The creation of an active online application was suported by the project of the fund "Fond rozvoje vysokých škol" number FRVS 111/2010.
