Mechanical properties and microstructure in fine-grained cast and Extruded AZ31 alloy processed by ECAP

Abstract

Fine grained AZ31 alloy processed by ECAP exhibited enhanced mechanical properties in comparison with their cast or extruded counterparts. Current models of work-hardening were applied and their validity analyzed with particular concern on fine-grained and hexagonal structure
