The New Forms of Synodality in the End of Middle Ages: Bohemia in the Context of European Reformation

Abstract

The study indicates the variability of the synodality forms in the Middle Ages on the ground of the 15-th century situation in Bohemia. In the bishopric of Prague, where the synods of clergy were held regularly, new rules for the its assemblies were found under the influence of Hussitism.

The Bohemian development marked appreciably the later evolution of this sphere in the protestant churches.
