Hazetester III- nephelometer with termostated measuring chamber, precision dosing syringe pump for haze measurement, control of beer stabilization and prediction of beer and other beverages colloidal stability

Publication

Abstract

Stand-alone prototype of laboratory device for haze measurement of liquids was inovated. Hazetester works in a nephelometric mode at formazin calibration.

It has display and keyboard, basic functions are controled by a microprocessor unit. There are a syringe dosing pump and a mixer built-in.

Measuring sample chamber is kept at constant temperature ( /- 0.2 oC) by a peltier type thermostat. It is possible to perform nephelometric titration tests (e.g. tannoid content, sensitive protein content, SASPL) for beer stabilization control and prediction of colloidal stability when hazetester is connected to notebook and is controlled by a special SW (OS Windows).

Innovations: 1 - New measuring chamber where constant temperature is maintained by peltier type thermostat, dual sample tube for temperature stabilisation and haze measurement 2 - Single speed dosing piston pump 3 - Software innovation, new optimized procedures implemented
