The issue of body in the phenomenology after Husserl establishes some connections with hints from the philosophy and aesthetics of 19th century and it could be connected with the artistic creativity of this century (cézanne and Merleau-Ponty). The chapter mentions the importance of the concept of Einfühlung, as was defined in the book Über das optisches Formgefühl of Rudolf Vischer.
Phenomenology, in its pecualiar manner, assumes this version of bodily openess to the world, which is present in the works of some artists (for example František Kupka).
