Abstract
This article goes into the legal regulation of readmission of foreigners according to the international agreements and it deals with some problematic parts of its application in practice. First the article deals with the term “readmission” and summarizes political efforts and legislation of the European Union.
Then it goes deeper into the Czech regulation including regulation of detention of those to be readmitted abroad. Main focus is put on the application of regulation by administrative bodies (such as Foreigner´s police) and courts and some controversial topics that occur.
In the end of the text a brief evaluation of the current legislation of readmission is given.
