Abstract
We have studied the growth and properties of the Ce3+ doped epitaxial garnet films. The single crystalline films were prepared by liquid phase epitaxy.
Various fluxes were used with the goal to reduce the flux-related impurities, which could have a negative influence on the optical and scintillation properties. Crystallographic properties, film morphology and emission properties were studied in detail.
