Abstract
The submitted text deals with activities of Czech anti-Nazi resistance fighter Jan Smudek who escaped under dramatic circumstances from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the spring 1940 and became the prototype for the character of Victor Laszlo from the famous American movie Casablanca.
