The article is based on the project of master thesis which continues the research tradition of the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Arts, the Charles University, relating to the educational environment of family and school. The aim of the work was to provide an integrative view of those two environments which contemporary children and teenagers spend most of the first two decades of their life in.
The paper is trying to bring this view not only through the summary of findings of the Czech and foreign literature, but also through mapping the subjective perception of the educational environment of family and school in a sample of the current generation of adolescents.
