Raman Optical Activity of Amide and Disulfide Groups in Peptides and Model Systems

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2010

Abstract

Raman optical activity (ROA) represents a modern spectroscopic technique that can be applied to a wide range of chiral molecules starting from small organic molecules up to complex biomolecular systems. Among othre things ROA provides information about solution structure of peptides and proteins.

The aim of theis work was to determine the relationship between three-dimensional structure and Raman optical activity of disulpfide and amide groups in peptides.
