Abstract

The article concerns harassment and attacks by using modern information technologies among the youth. Firstly, the author defines the term cyberbullying and characterizes behavior that this term includes.

The paper further surveys available resources of information, the approximate incidence of cases of cyberbullying and draws attention to the similarities and dissimilarities of traditional and cyber-bullying and in particular to the specific risks of this modern method of bullying. The article includes detailed description of the types and methods of cyber attacks and highlights the risk of misuse of various internet applications and communication programs.

The second half of the study is dedicated to the cyber bully, the victim and its reactions to cyberbullying and it repeatedly emphasizes the risk behavior in the space of Internet. The conclusion provides advice on the defense against cyber attacks and their prevention especially in schools.
