Abstract

The book includes source text translation of Nazi youth volume supplemented by semiological study of the source text included in the preface. The original translated material seems to be a faleristic volume.

In fact it is a youth journal, special edition on medals, on soldiers. The study aims on circumscribing the unspeakable, a relation between a boy and a soldier and a boy who would soon become an anonymous member of the vanguard of children armies of the century of terror.

This relation is fundamental for the original text and it is an axis of sorting and finally designing the soldiers and the medals. Depth of this relation is the sacred barbarism of the past age, the power and the mythologies of which is banality itself.

This failure of meaning is then a punctum of the mythologies given and the study thereby is a thesis on relation between early and later texts by Barthes on the basis of the particular material examined.
