Abstract

In a study conducted from April 2006 to December 2009, we monitored a group of 129 female patients suffering from chronic pelvic pain of more than 6 months duration. Due to their indication, these patients had undergone diagnostic laparoscopy.

The results obtained in our study suggest that Chlamydia infection is an important ethiological factor of chronic pelvic pain. We did not found higher frequency of adhesions in Chlamydia positive women.
