The eastern Amber Route between the Baltic and the Black Sea

Abstract

During the whole period of Classical Antiquity a legend of river connection between the Baltic and Black Sea was generally believed. The article discusses the evidence of contacts along the route in Bronze andEarly Irona Age and later.
