Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of visualization and mental imagery in individual coaching. The paper is based on an analysis of interviews with coaches and uses grounded theory as an analytical tool.

The research focuses on the coaches' experience with visualization and imaginative techniques in individual coaching, as well as on the use of these techniques and their benefit within the framework of the coaching process. Based on the results, it is possible to identify common components of visualization and imaginative techniques most frequently applied in couching.

At the same time, the results show the uniqueness based on individual characteristics with which the coaches approach these techniques.
