Abstract
The paper examines the contacts between Lin Fengmian - a pioneer Chinese painter of Western styles and techniques - and the Czechoslovak art world of the 1920s-1960s. It also discusses Lin Fengmian's paintings in the collection of the National Gallery in Prague and their specific value among works collected by other European institutions.
