Abstract
Systemic and pulmonary vascular changes associated with symptomatic portal hypertension limits the prognosis together with variceal bleeding and ascites development. Hyperdynamic circulation leads to cirhotic cardiomyopathy development.
Hepatopulmonar syndrome and portopulmonary hypertension in some patients can develop. Diagnostic procedures, therapy and influence on patients prognosis is discussed.
