Thracian Grey Ware in Bulgaria: Pistiros and Other Sites

Abstract

Thracian Grey pottery from Pistiros is analysed, its chronology sketched and relation to other sities in Bulgaria studied, including te sub-category silver ware. Imitations of Greeks hapes are common.

Grffiti have Greek and Thacan names, and stamped pitchers were made for Dionysiac cult.
