Abstract

Physical properties of (nano)composite films can be strongly influenced by geometry of inclusions. In this contribution, we study an impact of the particle shapes to the morphological and transport properties.

We use several models of the composite structures with various shapes by the help of the Monte Carlo method. These structures are analysed by methods of mathematical morphology.

The theory of percolation helps us to reveal transport properties of such structures, in particular to determinate the percolation threshold in light of electrical conductivity. The morphological and transport results are compared and the relationships between the geometry and transport properties are searched.
