October between Two Epochs: the Structure and Form of Historical Fact

Abstract

28th October 1918 represents a symbolic start to the historical story of Czech modern statehood and chronological point, that has been refered to by every regime and system. For this reason, it is also a very historical question.

Different interpretations of this date correspond to its characterization as a changeable historical fact. This contribution deals with its shapes in the short term from the mid- 1970s to the mid- 1990s.
