Abstract
The textbook introduces philosophy of education as a discipline. It debates some general issues in philosophy of education (the relationship between a human and education, the role of educator).
The textbook widely debates chosen philosophical streams that influenced discussions about the purpose of lifelong education and adult education heavily (mainly Marxism, pragmatism, humanism and postmodernism).
