Publication at Faculty of Arts |

Abstract

The article analyzes pragmatic tasks connected with the use of ethnic-marked phraseologisms in fiction and their transformation towards more expressive transmission of ideas and more effective influence on the reader. These phraseologisms have apparently expressive, permissive, assertive functions and concretize or develop the ideas presented through the speech of the writer or that of the character.
