Abstract

The Bakhshali Manuscript is an ancient Indian mathematical work written on birch-bark. In the Bakhshali Manuscript, there are several interesting problems such as solving linear equations, solving quadratic equations and methods for calculating square root, examples of the rule of three, progressions and so on.

The aim of this paper is to present the systems of linear equations and the methods of their solving.
