The Uprising of the "Meadow Lords" in Zittau. A Study on a Half-forgotten Upper Lusatian Town Conflict (c. 1482-1494)

Abstract

The study deals with the last medieval urban uprising in Zittau c. between 1482-94. The author tries to analyze the "crisis in the burghers' coexistence".

Furthermore, in the article is described, how the urban political crises were reflected in the town chronicles.
