Memory and Genocide. Reflections on the Politics of Holocaust.

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2011

Abstract

The author reflects upon the transformation of the understanding of the holocaust in Europe, Israel and the USA. He distinguishes two types of the Holocaust memory.

The first type strengthens human reciprocity, the second contributes to the assertion of the group identity and legitimization of the claims of one group against the others.
