Abstract
A biography od Wenceslas, duke of Luxembourg and of Brabant, conceived from the point of view of the familial and "international" relations. It describes the role of the duke in several great projects in the 2nd half of the 14th century.
It deals with the literary patronage of the duke, in particular with his relation to Jean Froissart: i.a. it offers a new interpretation of the romance Meliador. It also pictures the cultural milieu of the court of Luxembourg-Brabant.
