The Traditional and Dynamic in the Position and Activities of Czech Women in the 40´s of the 19th Century

Abstract
The period of the 40´s of the 19th century and the revolution of 1848/49 was the changing time of Czech society. However, the real situation of women remained unchanged.
Although women joined social and political events as well, theit position was influenced by hitherto stereotypes about their roles both in the society and in the family. Socio-political movement in the 40´s and during 1848/49 was distinct, but only in such collective, non-differential politicl perspective.
While the nation was going through a revolution, Czech women (imaginary half of thr nation) were in some respect left aside. Wecan spek about feminine space within a masculine revolution.
