Some open questions concerning the interpretation of linguistic picture of the world from the perspective of comparative research

Abstract

The first author´s questions concerns the range of the "mental picture" of a denoted object, created in the thought of a speaker, in the context of cognitive linguistics. The second question concerns the ontological character of the denoted objects, which seems to be essential in order to fix the "tertium comparationis" in comparative research.
