The European Peace Alliance Drawn Up in Bohemia in 1463-1464: A Project of a Crusade Against the Turcs?

Abstract

The study examines the project of a peace alliance of the christian countries originating from George of Podebrady and Antony of Grenoble in 1463-1464 in the context of the late crusades' studies. The detailed analyse of conserved texts draws a conclusion that its anti-turkish orientation should not be underestimated.

The George of Podebrady's project isn't assessed separately, on the contrary it's integrated into the context of other similar anti-turkish alliances in the 15th century.
