Abstract
The article examines the possibility of a deepening radical democratic project from the point of view of a democratic theory, in a situation which could be characterized by an abundance of fragmented social identities. The article suggests that it is possible to construct a strong popular subject from various, even contradictory, identities by an act of symbolic representation.
