Abstract

Egyptologist Jaroslav Černý (1898 Plzeň (Pilsen) - 1970 Oxford) led a varied - some might say adventurous - life, which included numerous travels, relocation, and eventually an exile. Some aspects of his life are related here, namely travels to Egypt and his reflections of Egyptian culture ancient and modern.
