Abstract

There were presented 7 cases of anogenital area infection caused by Actinomyces turicensis in 5 immunocompetent patients and two patients with comorbidities like diabetes. Routine phenotype identification failed and the strain were identified by sequencing of 16S rRNA gene.

Strains were isolated in pure culture in two cases, another were detected with concomitants like the mixture of anaerobes, microaerophilic Streptococcus milleri and Staphylococcus aureus. Patients were treated surgically and with clindamycine without any other complication.
