Abstract

The article takes issue with the approach, still common among scholars, of dividing archaic Greek poetry and the emerging Greek philosophy from one another. In a comparison of Hesiod's "Theogony" and Parmenides's poem "On nature" , the author demonstrates the multiplicity of the relatedness and connectedness between the two works, especially in the sphere of truth - justice - and the structure of cosmos.
