Urban spaces in literature

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2010

Abstract

The article discusses urban spaces as sites of incessant interference of resistant, subversive, transgressive or conflicting energies. It argues that late twentieth-century and early twenty-first century authors further expand rewritings of the city in terms of representation and genre and transcend a rigid divide between the urban and the (non)urban.
